Step 1 - Agreement signing

You have to sign EV subscriber agreement with a CA and there are few options how to complete that step:

Sectigo / Comodo

Please fill the two forms and send to Sectigo: <a href="https://support.sectigo.com/Com_KnowledgeDetailPage?Id=kA01N000000zFOe">Certificate Request Form</a> <a href="https://support.sectigo.com/Com_KnowledgeDetailPage?Id=kA01N000000zFOe">EV SSL Subscriber Agreement</a> <a href="https://ultrahostghana.com/docs/ev_request_form_simplified_example2.pdf">Certificate Request Form (SAMPLE)</a> <a href="https://ultrahostghana.com/docs/ssl_certificate_subscriber_agreement_example.pdf"> EV SSL Subscriber Agreement (SAMPLE)</a>

Step 2 - Organization validation

To pass Business/Organization validation, you may need to provide some official registration documents to certification center. Mostly they require Business License/Article of Incorporation/Registration application. You can submit them via Post Mail, fax or via e-mail in PDF/JPG format. We highly suggest using the e-mail method.

Option A (Most popular) No paperwork. The company legal existence checked via public government database using company name or unique identification number (registration number) OR via verified public 3rd party databases like: Ghana - rgd.gov.gh/, www.ghanayello.com ghanabusinessweb.com Other regions - GLEIF, Duns & Bradstreet, Hoovers, Companies House GOV.UK, Lursoft.lv and others.

Option B (suggested) Company verification using LEI code takes just minutes/hours, not days and weeks.

Option C Company can be verified using one of the documents like Articles of Incorporation, Government Issued Business License, copy of a recent company bank statement, copy of a recent company phone bill, copy of a recent major utility bill of the company (i.e. power bill, water bill, etc.).

Step 3 - DCV process

DCV (Domain Control Validation) is verification of domain name ownership and control. It is possible to validate domain via multiple methods like E-Mail validation, DNS CNAME and HTTP/HTTPS Hash file.

via E-mail (Most popular) DCV via e-mail is the most traditional method to pass ownership verification. The certification center will send e-mail to the administrative contact of your domain. The mail contains a unique validation code and link to a certification website to enter the code.

You can use "magic five" e-mail addresses: admin@, administrator@, hostmaster@, webmaster@ and postmaster@. In some cases, it is possible to use administrative e-mail from WHOIS; Private registration should be disabled.

via DNS CNAME To validate domain via DNS CNAME record, you need use hashes that we extract from the CSR code submitted by you. It takes from 10 minutes and up to 24 hours to validate domain; it depends on your DNS server TTL.

via HTTP/HTTPS Hash file Quick and simple method to pass domain validation as it requires to upload a text (.txt) file with hashes extracted from your CSR code. The file must be accessible from the web. Use HTTPS method when SSL already in use and website available via HTTPS://

Step 4 - Callback process

The last step is a callback process. For Extended Validation SSL vendors use manual callback process. The operator would call you and asks to confirm your name and order. To validate official phone number you can use any of the options:

Option A Certification center verifies phone number via public Yellow pages Databases like world.192.com, (please check step 2 for recognized databases in Ghana region).

Option B Number verification via trusted/government databases like your local government database if it includes phone numbers for companies.

Option C Verified legal opinion or accountant letter signed notary. Certification center may verify notary legality.
